Privacy Policy
Effective: 11 August 2026
Attendora is a school staff attendance application operated by TechzyLabs. This policy explains how Attendora processes information when authorized schools and their staff use the application.
Information we process
Attendora processes account identifiers, names, email addresses, optional phone numbers and profile images, school membership and employment profile data, attendance and leave records, precise location during attendance actions, device or app-installation identifiers, audit events, and diagnostic information.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users, associate staff with schools, verify attendance through protected QR, device, time-window and geofence checks, classify attendance according to school rules, manage leave and corrections, produce reports, prevent misuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain audit history.
Attendance and location
Precise location is requested only when a user performs an attendance or checkout action. Attendora does not request background location. Before submission, staff can review the verified time and location. Coordinates, reported accuracy, and distance from the school’s configured location may be stored with the attendance record for verification and audit purposes.
Device verification and QR codes
Attendora may use an app-installation or device identifier to bind attendance access to an approved device and help prevent misuse. School attendance QR codes use opaque protected identifiers and do not expose school details in their visible contents. Device-reset and access-restriction controls are managed by authorized administrators.
Service providers
Attendora uses Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase App Check with Play Integrity, and optionally Google Sign-In. These services process information as service providers under their applicable terms and privacy policies. Authentication credentials are handled by Firebase Authentication; Attendora does not store plaintext passwords.
Sharing and advertising
Attendora does not sell personal information and does not use it for third-party advertising or marketing. Records are visible only to authorized users according to their role and school association. Reports downloaded or intentionally shared by an authorized user are controlled by that user and the selected destination.
Retention and deletion
Schools control staff, attendance, leave, correction, and audit records according to their operational and legal requirements. Authorized administrators may remove school access and delete eligible school-associated employee records. To request account-level deletion, submit the official Attendora data-deletion form. A request may require identity and school-association verification. Some attendance or audit records may need to be retained by the school where required for legitimate operational, employment, security, or legal purposes.
Security
Attendora uses authentication, role-based Firestore security rules, HTTPS encryption in transit, App Check, Play Integrity, opaque QR identifiers, device binding, audit history, and geofence validation. No system or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Attendora is designed for school employees and administrators, not students or children. The current version does not provide student accounts or student-attendance features.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated when product features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when an updated policy is published.
